“PAIN IN KASHMIR” – WHY SO MUCH ATTENTION TO A TINY POPULATION?

Recent news reports of “Pain in Kashmir” amongst the youth due to Handwara army firing. But this is not new, as for one or other reason they seem to be constantly in pain, or have a reason to complain – and as they are Kashmiris (or read “spoilt brats”), they seem to be blaming India for their pain. The same is not the case in Jammu or Ladakh or Leh or in other parts of the country, as much needs to be done, there are droughts or earthquakes or floods, and people take action and go about their lives with or without government help. One suggestion is instead of pelting stones, or supporting jihadi elements, fighting the Indian army, or other types of trouble, whey don’t they work to advance themselves and pursue opportunities that become available to those who are ready? Many kashmiris study in the rest of India – they appear happy, well adjusted and are going about their lives as best as possible.
