Some seem to get very quick court hearing and also very special treatment. For example:
* A court heard and extended former Union minister P. Chidambaram’s arrest for weeks.
* The same minister got relief of weeks in questioning by the Enforcement Directorate.
* Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi could get a Supreme Court hearing to question why the IT department was reopening a tax assessment, citing likely fraud. They get special permission for appearing in court, easily get bail, easily get court hearing.
* Lalu Prasad Yadav, while he cannot contest elections due to criminal conviction, easily got bail.
So we wonder if there cases merit special treatment or are they special, or could there be something else? Sadly, writers have got arrested for expressing their freedom of speech and they are in jails for months. Crores of Sabarimala devotees have to wait for a court hearing.
Get us wondering…

While only poor Rahul Gandhi gets blamed, but the common man in India with a lot of common sense will tell you ==> both Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are responsible for the INCREASING SPEED OF CONGRESS MUKHT BHARAT.
So many reasons:
1) excessive corruption,
2) blatant minority appeasement – look what did and is happening in Karnataka, Kerala, Kashmir, and on and on,
3) out of touch with people,
4) no pride in the country,
5) undemocratic parties with disrespect and near abuse of for party leaders,
6) raking up unrelated old issues, and on and on.
A healthy democracy need a strong, energetic and constructive opposition. The dying Congress, India’s oldest party is certainly not the one to provide that.

To follow Dharma means to do the right thing regardless of the result. There are many clear cases of massive corruption with adequate evidence of potential wrongdoing. Two examples include the allotment of prime five acres along the Gurugram-Faridabad Highway to the Rajiv Gandhi Charitable Trust (RGCT) in Haryana by the previous Congress government. The trust is headed by Congress president Sonia Gandhi and other family members. The second case is the National Herald case in which corruption of more than 5,000 crores is alleged and there is ample evidence. So why are the NDA governments not taking the case forward? Are we not guided by dharma?

For the ongoing UP elections, Sonia Gandhi who represents UP in the Lok Sabha, wrote a letter to the voters to elect Congress to enable development and to restore development schemes which had been snatched away. Leaving aside the message of this letter which is plainly wrong, this must be a first in campaigning of writing a letter instead of showing up in person. Not reported leaving people to wonder about the letter was if the letter was in Hindi, English or some other language. If it was in Hindi – as would be expected, Sonia Gandhi does not know Hindi writing, then the question arises as to who write the letter?

A well known Congress leader, Shailesh Chaubey was very upset with Rahul Gandhi’s abuse and irresponsible “Khoon Ki Dalali” about the Indian Army’s surgical strikes. He feels Rahul Gandhi lacks political skills and is a disgrace to the political party (not country?), and hence should be sacked from the Congress party and should try something else – Rahul is ~45 years old. The Congress leader even circulated a video with his comments which went viral. So will Congress and Sonia Gandhi act against Rahul Gandhi?

Sonia Gandhi has cancelled the annual Iftaar party, which are more a political event than a religious event. Several reasons have been given for this, one is Rahul Gandhi is on vacation (again) in a undisclosed foreign country for an undisclosed length. Congress party says Iftaar will be marked with distribution of sweets for under-privileged children. But some insiders are saying Congress could be facing money troubles?

Sonia Gandhi finally says that it is only India, where she lives will her ashes be disbursed, and not Italy – the country of her birth. Some other facts about Sonia – she came to India in 1968 as the daughter-in-law of Indira Gandhi, but chose to become an Indian citizen only in 1982. And in 1998, Sonia put herself in the running to become even the Prime Minister of India? How may other countries would entertain such developments?

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi are other Congress leadership is enmeshed in a growing number of legal proceedings. Sonia-Rahul, the mother-son duo are out on bail in the National Herald case. Rahul Gandhi by himself is facing sedition charges in multiple courts, Digvijaya Singh the outspoken Congress leader is out on bail on a recruitment scam. Now we learn that former Union Minister P Chidambaram, allegedly tampered with evidence in the terrorist Ishrat Jehan case. One has to wonder where he did it on his own or from instructions from the top Congress leadership. Chidambaram’s son, Karti, is alleged to have amassed excessive wealth in various parts of the world during 2006-2014 Chidambaram was the Union Minister.

Based on a complaint of alleged “cheating” of over 2,000 crores by Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and other parties, a court case is being fought in the Delhi High Court. Sonia & Rahul Gandhi have tried so many ways to delay and block these proceedings. The latest in their antics is a petition filed with the Supreme Court of India – their reason, Swamy is a political opponent (even though this case was filed in 2012 well before Swamy was a political opponent), to recognize their “deep roots in society”, and that these criminal proceedings would cause irreparable damage to their reputation. Perhaps they should have thought about these things before they did whatever actions they took, realizing that no one is above the law indefinitely…

Congress publication blames Nehru for the current problems in Kashmir, Nepal and Tibet. The article goes on to say that “had Vallabhai Patel been heard (by Nehru) or even better become the first prime minister of India, then, the problems of Kashmir, China, Tibet and Nepal wouldn’t have existed now. Patel opposed Nehru’s move of taking the Kashmir issue to the UNO,”. As regards Sonia Gandhi, the article implies to be a very ambitious person. It states “Sonia Gandhi became a primary member of the Congress in 1997 and became the party’s president in 62 days.” Shortly after, she also made an unsuccessful attempt to form a government at the center.

Citizens feel that Congress’s attitude in repeatedly disrupting Parliament shows a “dictatorship mentality” of its leadership. Such attitude of Congress – going on for a long time is undemocratic. Such things show a dictatorship mentality of Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi.

Sonia Gandhi’s Congress which has been accused of corruption and Mamata Banerjee’s Trinamul Congress (TMC) may team up per rumors. Already, they seem to be providing moral support to each other. So is this an alliance of the corrupt and out of convenience or anything more? Let us wait and watch.

Sonia Gandhi, Rahul have been found prima facie guilty of several counts on the National Herald case. Per Swamy sources, he notes that attempts will be made to create disturbance near New Delhi’s Patiala house, all of which is anti-national in nature and further Delhi Police will not be equal to task to maintain law and order. Hence Swamy suggests that Armed Forces Special Powers should be invoked and the Army or BSF or CRPF should be called to assist Delhi Police.

With most of the election in Bihar over, Congress heir and vice-president has been near-absent from the campaign. On a recent visit to Bihar for election campaigning, Congress could barely muster resources and mobilize people at the last-minute to issue advertisements announcing Gandhi’s visit. This election would be another setback to Rahul Gandhi’s dreams of making it big on the national stage regardless of the outcome. Whatever be the result, the Gandhis – Rahul and Sonia, and Congress will be the biggest losers.

ML Fotedar, a senior Congress leader had the guts to say- “Rahul Gandhi’s leadership is unacceptable to the people of this country and Sonia Gandhi has her best years behind her”. The Congress party has no one to provide direction – it has made wrong choices while appointing opposition leaders in both Houses of Parliament, and even the pointless disruption of the parliament for petty gains. In fact, there is nothing right which the party has done or is doing. It saddens me that the Nehru–Indira legacy might be reaching a dead end?
