A few unfortunate things said about President Kalam: Ramachandra Guha, supposed a well-known author said n 2012: “Ramchandra Guha, historian and author, feels that the people have got wrong in voting for Kalam as he will be forgotten in 10 years. He is not an original scientist, he will be forgotten in 10 years,” said Guha on CNN IBN. Regarding Kalam’s vision for India, Guha said, “His vision for India is totally confused. Its incoherent and inconsistent. “Kalam benefited from being the good Muslim at a time when Dawood Ibrahim was the bad Muslim,” he added. On Late Praful Bidwai called him a “Glorified Mechanic”!

STUPID INDIAN MEDIA GIVES LIVE COVERAGE OF TERROR OPERATIONS – PUTS SECURITY OPERATIONS AT RISK

During today’s (Monday) ongoing anti-terrorist operations in Gurdaspur, Punjab, some news and current affairs TV channels carried live telecast of these operations without restricting themselves to periodic briefing. This greatly risks the lives of concerned Security Personnel and compromises the effectiveness of these operations. Government ordered the Media to follow the rules for this. This unfortunately happened during the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks.

[SHOCKING OR NOT SO] 87% OF PEOPLE FEEL MAJOR MEDIA IS HEAVILY BIASED

A recent survey of Mainstream media revealed: 80% are totally dissatisfied; 87% feel media is heavily biased and has an agenda; 70% feel prime time debates are chaos; and very importantly – nearly half feel there is a need for a fair and reliable media. It is hard to feel sorry for these educated media and journalists. With Social Media, they are losing eyeballs and now credibility too.

UNBALANCED COVERAGE BY MAJOR MEDIA CAUSING EXISTENTIAL QUESTIONS

Mainstream Media (especially English ones) who pass on unbalanced and agenda driven coverage have lost loyal readers. Technology has made matter worse. There are too many examples to note, but coverage of Godhara riots, India-bashing coverage by New York Times, the Economist, BBC come to mind.
