Twitter CEO, Jack Dorsey was on his first visit to India. While he was lucky to get his first meeting with PM Modi, most people feel he was rude and highly disrespectful of India and Prime Minister. The meeting had so many negatives:
* He was so so casually dressed – black hoodie or sweatshirt, casual or black leather pants, casual shoes.
* He was cross-legged, a huge sign of disrespect.
* He took with him a Mahima Kaul, an employee who has been a strong Modi – hater.
It was not clear if one was going to the vegetable market, or to see a picture to meet one of the most important people in the world. Would he have done the same in meetings (if he got one) with the US President or heads of many other countries?
Was this a mistake or done on purpose by one who is nearly half the age of the Prime Minister? What was hoped to be achieved or what was achieved? Was it to show that the head of one minor social media company superior to Prime Minister of India?

Surveys say majority of Indians feel India is on the right path, things are slowly but surely getting better. People feel the country’s leadership can be trusted even if people do not agree with every action, they work hard and do want to bring about transformative change to lives of all Indians.
So you would ask WHO WOULD WANT TO ASSASSINATE PRIME MINISTER MODI… and the simple answer is many many individuals and organizations:
- Maoists – they wanted to do a Rajiv Gandhi type assassination.
- Pakistan’s ISI and even its defence services.
- Numerous Islamic terrorist or terrorist sympathizer organizations. Several in Kashmir, Kerala and elsewhere both in India and outside.
- Numerous separatist and terror organisations in India.
- Foreign NGOs. They were sending so much money but now government of India is closing monitoring them. Per reports, much was spent in conversions, recruiting and inciting protests and numerous other anti-national activities.
- Some say China and Russia – but this is hard to accept but certainly a possibility.
- Some members of opposition parties.
- Could be even individuals in the ruling party?
- Some Western governments – they may be feeling that India is getting strong and may be hard to control?
- Corrupt politicians, bureaucrats and individuals of the public.
- Many many more…
MULTIPLE ATTEMPTS HAVE ALREADY BEEN MADE ON HIS LIFE. LET US HOPE NO SUCH THING EVER HAPPENS…

During an election rally, Rahul Gandhi said 2 things which no one was expecting:
1) Congress will emerge as the largest party in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, and
2) He (RaGa) will be the next prime minister. Obviously nothing wrong with one making a statement.
However, veteran Dalit leader Ram Vilas Paswan had a simple and quick response to RaGa and responded – “THERE WAS NO VACANCY FOR THE TOP POST OF PRIME MINISTER as Narendra Modi would return to power in 2019“. And let us not forget the PM job is a tough one – not anyone and everyone would be cut out for it? Politics being politics… one needs a thick skin at all times…

During a live session of ‘Bharat Ki Baat, Sabke Saath’ in UK, a youth from the audience asked PM Modi – “What is the secret to your energy and stamina, so we can all use that?” You would not believe the 100% honest answer he gave in hindi in a lighthearted manner which touched the hearts of lakhs and lakhs of people. PM Modi said, “Kareeb-kareeb 20 saal se..daily…1 kg…2kg…gaaliyan khata hoon.” The audience burst into laughing.
PM also said he is not against criticism. “But to criticise, one has to research and find proper facts. Sadly this does not happen now. What happens instead is allegations. Criticism makes democracy strong. Democracy cannot succeed without constructive criticism”.
So think about it. WHICH LEADER IN INDIA EVER OR EVEN WORLD OVER HAS RECEIVED THIS LEVEL OF EXTREMELY ABUSIVE AND NON-STOP CRITICISM? Indian media and western media should especially take note.

India witnessed a moment of sheer amazement. Shri Janardan Mishra, BJP leader and Madhya Pradhesh minister as part of a routine school inspection found a toilet in a school in his Rewa district clogged learnt that children could not use it or shower. Instead of shouting instructions, he immediately got down on his knees and cleaned the toilet with his bare hands removing the clogged waste and soil. Not just that, as the young boys had not had a bath, he even helped some boys to have a bath and clipped some nails. Shri Mishra is a fan on PM Modi and a die hard believer in “Swacch Bharat“.
Following this, he went on to twitter and “ASKED PEOPLE TO TAKE THE OATH TO PROMOTE CLEANLINESS“.
Repeating this action may be difficult for many, but can we at least take the cleanliness oath at all times and all places -> and try to live by it? WHILE THIS SOUNDS LIKE BOLLYWOOD BUT ACTUALLY IT HAPPENED IN THE REAL INDIA.

Supreme Court has asked for the Love-Jihad issue to be fully investigated in Kerala. People – both youth and others and both educated or not are being radicalized to join Islamic terror groups in India and in the Gulf region. Several youth have been caught.
Thousands have converted to Islam – and police want to verify if voluntary or under extremist threat. Since the current LDF government came to power, nearly 200 opposition party workers or NGOs have been murdered in brought daylight with no end in sight.
Has God’s Own Country become our own Terroristan? How much worse will the situation become?

Now former VP Hamid Ansari was quiet but created controversies in office – he suddenly ended the Rajya Sabha session on the last day of the session when the Jan Lokpal bill was being discussed, his refusal to participate in International Yoga Day celebrations, his refusal to salute the national flag, etc. While he fulfilled his VP and Rajya Sabha Speaker duties, he said on his last day in office – “there was a feeling of unease and a sense of insecurity among Muslims in the country“.
So was / is the former vice-president only concerned about one community – “muslims” or about all people?

Initially it might have come across as a joke, but NO it is real. Rahul Gandhi has started reading India’s most sacred and oldest texts – the Bhagwad Gita, Upanishads. The Big Reason – while one might have thought this would help to understand India’s heritage and what binds us all – well not quite. Rahul Gandhi’s objectives are purely political – to understand his opponents as his he fighting them – RSS and the Sangh Parivar, BJP and everyone connected with them. On a related note, a large silent majority probably feels India’s leader present and future should be required to understand India’s most sacred and historical texts…

How shocking and how sad that Ravinder, an E-Rickshaw driver in Delhi was beaten to death by 15 youth because he told 2-3 of their friends NOT TO URINATE IN PUBLIC AND USE THE TOILET INSTEAD. Both are successful people and have come up the hard way and continue to work very hard. President Trump has never been in government, while PM Modi has been a social worker, an an elected representative, a Chief Minister (arguably one of the most successful) and now the prime minister – so in public life most times. Both have earned a solid 30+ million plus Twitter followers who adore their respective leaders. Trump has been hasty, too quick to express his opinion, some politically incorrect, on Twitter on almost anything and anyone. PM Modi tweets are about wishes to one and all, policy and achievements. PM is always found sending wishes and greetings to one and all including his opponents. PM is much less visible, and when he is it is about substance. Both are known to get annoyed or possibly angry, but President Trump’s reaction is public and for to see, while PM Modi is more restrained at best, and mostly not even visible. Trump has moved faster – at least one area PM Modi can copy?

Political commentators thoughts demonetization would backfire on the ruling party. Instead during the recent local and panchayat level elections in Maharashtra and Gujarat, BJP made a clean sweep in both states in a big way. There were always many issues, drought, regional and community agitations such as Marathwada and Patildars. The big recent programme and potential public issue was the demonetization. Opposition parties are leading agitations, bandhs and stalling parliament. But at the ground level voters have spoken in a big and convincingly way about how they see it. So would the opposition listen and respect the verdict?

No doubt, there is short-term pain and inconvenience. But there are several unexpected and/or unreported benefits to the Rs. 500 and Rs. 1,000 demonetization scheme. Some of these are: a) Maoists or Naxalites have reported been hit hard, b) Stone peling in Kashmir is suddenly stopped, c) there have been no more reports of school burning in J&K, d) Arhar dal prices have crashed in some parts of UP, e) Banks flush with over 3 lac crore of new funds is likely to lead to lower borrowing costs, f) Property prices may come down by 25%, g) All castes and communities stood in the same line, h) Pakistan’s thousands of crore fake and genuine notes are now worthless, i) Havala trade has come to a stop, j) People have shown they are willing to bear short-term pains for long-term gains, k) there is starting to be fear about future actions on black money and tax avoidance.
So all in all an excellent decision!

In a shocking anti-corruption announcement, India has scrapped the Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 500 notes. While short-term this will cause inconvenience, this will sweep up lots idle and hidden black money. As PM Modi said, corruption and money laundering are like the “diseases” and “obstacles” to the country’s economic success. This move could bring down inflation, inflation and put a check on money laundering.

Looks like Arvind Kejriwal, who by the way is the Delhi Chief Minister, will say and/or do almost anything to gain publicity. His latest attack – he says “PM Modi can even have me murdered”. This comes after Ms. Soni, the Aam Aadmi Party activist who committed suicide had said that she was “asked to make compromises” with her body. It is also alleged that “She was told you should stop loving your body so much and compromise and unless you do that you will not rise in the party”. The big question is if the AAP leadership is a party to all these developments?

As PM said in the “Mann Ki Baat”, some rich people are evading taxes – they like in houses worth multi-crores, drive such cars, but don’t declare their income or pay taxes. Everyone knows about it – but now this is being talked about. Government of India has now set September 30, 2016 as the deadline to declare their true income and pay taxes. After that, individuals and families would be considered in default and could see a hefty fine.
